How do I change my registered mobile number?

You need to login to at gator.net.au and the go to: Settings --> My Account --> Set Mobile Number This will take you through the verification process again and after confirming the new number, it will be saved as your number going forward.

How do I delete a tracker from my account?

Use the settings tool, select the trash icon next to the tracker you want to delete. Note: User deletion of trackers is not instant, so you cannot generally add them to one account, delete them, then add them to another account straight away. DO NOT ADD THEM TO YOUR ACCOUNT TO TEST THEM.

Your tracking history will be deleted entirely when a tracker is deleted, so ensure you have exported any data you want from the History tool before you delete it. Or run any reports etc.

How do I delete my account?

We have two methods for account deletion.

App

If you are using the App, simply visit the "App Settings" menu item, and scroll down to view "Account Deletion" which contains a link to "Delete Account", then press the green "Submit" button to confirm this.

Website

The second method is on https://gator.net.au after you login, use the Account Settings tab and press the red link "Request Account Deletion" at the bottom of the window.

Then press OK on the prompt to "Really delete your entire account?".

How it works

What happens after that involves a confirmation email to you with a unique link, pressing confirm in that email will confirm the request and a helpdesk ticket will be generated for us to action during business hours. We're usually onto it pretty quick. This prevents someone who has gained access to your account (like if you left it logged in or shared your phone) from deleting the whole thing.

If you have a subscription (or several!) we will cancel those and the proceed to delete everything we have, all records of your name, email address and objects (tracking/reports/everything) will be gone from all of our systems.

Anonymous data from our analytics will not be purged, as we have no way of knowing it was you that generated it. Logs from our system are retained for a few weeks, and therefore might contain user-id's and notification email addresses, however they are eventually purged as we do not want to keep it forever. Payment information is only linked to a unique ID, and we will remove the name/address/email from that, but we will retain the payment history for our records, however they will be anonymized.

Note: We are not quite GDPR compliant yet, but we're getting there.

How do I set up an account?

Use the "Register" button on the gator.net.au homepage, enter an email address and agree to the terms and conditions. We will email you a password to login with.

How to add a tracker to my account?

Push the button "Add Object" on the web, or the Plus icon (+) on the app near the list of objects/vehicles.

How to change password?

You need to login to at gator.net.au and the go to: Settings --> My Account --> Change password Enter new password and hit on save.

Why haven't I received my temporary password for my account setup?

Try again, make sure you typed your email address exactly right. If you wait too long, the temporary account will no longer be valid and you will have to try again.
